Committed to Educating Juries and Clients Alike
The legal system can be extremely frustrating for people unfamiliar with the process. Whether you are waiting for the judge to hear your side of the story or if you are wondering what value your case has, an experienced lawyer will help you navigate the system, maximizing your chances of success. I am attorney Robert E. Tucker, Ph.D., J.D., and I have nearly two decades of experience helping injured clients in the Des Moines area and throughout Iowa seek the compensation they need and deserve. Regardless of whether you have suffered a work injury or are the victim of medical negligence, I am here to help.
When clients contact my firm — the Tucker Law Office — they will work directly with me throughout the process, and they will not be passed off to a paralegal or inexperienced associate attorney. I offer clients the dedicated and passionate representation they need in personal injury matters. I tell their story to a jury in an easily understood and persuasive manner. I also pride myself on educating my clients about the legal process and keeping them abreast of any developments in their case. Teaching the Jury the Facts of Your Case
Before I focused my efforts on the practice of law, I enjoyed a career as a college professor. I worked closely with my students, employing hands-on methods to convey information. I carried my role as an educator into my work as a lawyer. I consider myself a teacher of judges and juries. A jury doesn't know anything about your case; it is my responsibility to take all the information I have learned about your situation and boil it down the most relevant information the jury will need.
Helping Clients Understand Their Cases
Most of my clients have never been in a courtroom before. It is my job to guide them through the legal system while answering their questions and addressing their concerns. I investigate their cases thoroughly, and through my research, I often know more about my clients' medical records than do themselves. I use my knowledge to give them realistic and honest advice about the strengths and weaknesses of their cases, no matter if their injuries are the result of a car accident, work injury or chemical exposure.
Although only a small number of cases go to trial, I prepare every case as if it might go to trial. Thorough preparation allows me to negotiate from a position of power and be ready to take the case in front of a jury at any given time.
